A village situated (location or local map, satellite) in the county of Suffolk, UK is about 3 miles north of Woodbridge and 12 miles east of Ipswich. It may be small in size but has good community spirit, an excellent Village Hall, a community shop and a pub. Currently there are just over 300 people living in around 140 dwellings. The bredfield.org.uk domain was established in 2000, primarily to be used for Village Hall e-mail contact - a Web site was started to provide a variety of information regarding Bredfield, on its facilities and organisations. However, with the dissolution in 2007 of the Bredfield & District Community Council (BDCC), lack of local support for the facility and the more recent breakaway of the Parish Council to an alternative Web site, the broad-reaching context is no longer appreciated. A new Website for the Bredfield Village Hall was launched at the end of 2018
